The button block adds a call-to-action button to your email. Buttons are one of the most effective ways to drive clicks, whether you are linking to a registration form, a giving page, or a video.

Adding a Button Block

Drag the Button block from the block palette into your email canvas. Click directly on the button text in the editor to change the label.
Select a button block to configure the following in the sidebar:

Style

Choose between two button styles:
  • Filled: A solid background color with contrasting text
  • Outline: A transparent background with a colored border

Colors

  • Color: Sets the background color (filled) or border color (outline)
  • Text Color: The color of the button label

Sizing and Spacing

  • Font Size: Adjust the size of the button text
  • Horizontal Padding: Control the space on the left and right of the text
  • Vertical Padding: Control the space above and below the text
  • Border Radius: Round the corners of the button

Border

  • Border Color: Set a custom border color
  • Border Width: Control the thickness of the border

Alignment

Position the button to the left, center, or right within the email content area. Set where the button links to. All link types are supported:
  • URL, Email, Phone, SMS, File Download, Planning Center

Defaults

You can save your current button configuration as the default for all new buttons in this email:
  • Set as Default: Saves the current style, colors, and sizing as the default
  • Reset to Default: Reverts the selected button back to the saved default settings
This is useful for maintaining consistent button styling across your email without configuring each one individually.

Tips

  • Keep button text short and action-oriented. “Register Now” or “Give Today” works better than long descriptions.
  • Use the filled style for primary actions and the outline style for secondary actions to create visual hierarchy.
  • Set your preferred button style as the default early in your design process to save time.
