The cards block lets you present multiple items in a structured grid layout. Each card can include an image, title, label, rich text description, and a call-to-action button. This is useful for event listings, sermon series, ministry highlights, or any content that benefits from a visual grid format.

Adding a Cards Block

Drag the Cards block from the block palette into your email canvas. A default set of cards will appear, and you can add, remove, or reorder them.

Card Content

Each card can include the following elements:
  • Image: Add a photo or graphic to the top of the card
  • Title: A headline for the card
  • Label: A smaller text element, often used for dates, categories, or tags
  • Description: Rich text content that supports bold, italic, underline, links, and multiple paragraphs. Links in descriptions use your email’s link color.
  • Button: A call-to-action linking to any destination

Select a cards block to configure the following in the sidebar:

Image Options

  • Aspect Ratio: Choose 16:9, 1:1 (square), or original (preserves the uploaded image’s proportions)

Content Alignment

  • Left or Center: Controls how text and buttons are positioned within each card

  • Text Color: The color used for card titles and descriptions
  • Label Color: The color for label text
  • Button Color: The background (filled) or border (outline) color for card buttons
  • Button Text Color: The color of button label text

Managing Cards

Adding and Removing

Use the controls in the sidebar to add new cards or remove existing ones.

Reordering

Drag and drop cards in the sidebar to change their order in the grid.

Expanded Editing Modal

Click the expand button on the cards block to open a larger editing modal. This provides a more spacious editor with a sidebar for switching between cards and drag-and-drop reordering. The expanded modal is especially helpful when you have several cards or need to edit longer descriptions.

Tips

  • Use consistent image aspect ratios across all cards in a block for a clean, uniform look.
  • Keep titles and descriptions concise. Cards work best when they are scannable.
  • The expanded editing modal makes it much easier to work with cards. Use it whenever you are managing more than two or three cards.
  • Labels are a great way to add context (such as a date or location) without cluttering the title.
