Public category pages let you create a shareable web page that displays all sent emails in a given category. This is great for newsletter archives, keeping your website up to date, or giving people a way to see what they’ve been missing. Before you can use public pages, you need to have a content domain set up. If you haven’t done that yet, see Setting Up Your Content Domain. Each public category page gives you two links:
  • All Emails link — A page listing every sent email in the category
  • Latest Email link — A link that always points to the most recently sent email

Enabling a Public Page

  1. Go to Emails → Categories and click on the category you want to make public.
  2. Click the Settings tab.
  3. Under Public Page, toggle on Enable Public Page.
When you enable the public page, Flowforth will automatically generate a URL slug based on your category name. For example, a category named “Weekly Newsletter” will get the slug weekly-newsletter.

Customizing the URL Slug

The URL slug is the part of the link that identifies your category. You can change it to whatever you’d like, as long as it only contains:
  • Lowercase letters
  • Numbers
  • Hyphens
For example: youth-updates, sunday-recap, staff-newsletter
Slugs must be unique within your organization. If a slug is already in use, you’ll see an error message.
Your slug auto-saves after you stop typing — no need to click a save button.
Once the public page is enabled and a slug is set, you’ll see two links in the settings:
https://yourchurch.flowforth.co/emails/your-slug
This link opens a page that lists all sent emails in the category, with the most recent emails shown first. Visitors can search by email subject and navigate through pages of past emails. Use this for: Newsletter archives, embedding on your website, or sharing your full email history with anyone.
https://yourchurch.flowforth.co/emails/your-slug/latest
This link always redirects to the most recently sent email in the category. Every time you send a new email to the category, this link automatically updates to point to it. Use this for: A “latest newsletter” link on your website, social media bios, or anywhere you want people to always see the newest email.
Next to each link in the settings, you’ll find two buttons:
  • Copy — Copies the link to your clipboard so you can paste it anywhere
  • Open — Opens the link in a new browser tab so you can preview what visitors will see

What Visitors See

When someone visits your public category page, they’ll see:
  • A clean, branded page with your organization name
  • A list of sent emails with their subject lines and send dates
  • A search bar to filter emails by subject
  • Links to view each individual email in full
Only sent emails are shown on public pages. Drafts, scheduled emails, and failed emails are never displayed.

Disabling a Public Page

To disable a public page:
  1. Go to the category’s Settings tab.
  2. Toggle off Enable Public Page.
When disabled, the public links will stop working. Your slug is preserved, so if you re-enable the page later, the same links will work again.

Common Use Cases

Newsletter Archive on Your Website

Add the All Emails link to your church website so visitors can browse past newsletters. Use the Latest Email link in your Instagram, Facebook, or X (Twitter) bio so followers always see your most recent update.

Embed in Weekly Announcements

Share the Latest Email link in your bulletin or announcement slides so people can read the full email on their phone.

Staff or Volunteer Updates

Give your team a single link that always has the latest update — no need to forward emails or track down old messages.
