When someone clicks “unsubscribe” or “manage preferences” in your email footer, they are taken to a page where they can update their email preferences. You can customize this page to match your church’s branding.

Accessing Unsubscribe Page Settings

  1. Go to Settings from the sidebar.
  2. Click Branding.
  3. Scroll down to the Unsubscribe Page section.

Customization Options

Upload your church or organization’s logo to display at the top of the unsubscribe page. This helps recipients recognize your brand and feel confident they are managing their preferences with the right organization.

Custom Colors

Set custom colors for the unsubscribe page to match your brand. These colors apply to buttons, links, and other interactive elements on the page.

Category Visibility

You can choose which email categories appear on the preferences page. Click the Category Visibility button in the sidebar to open a dialog where you can toggle categories on or off. This is useful for hiding categories that recipients should always be subscribed to, like transactional emails. You can also hide categories from the category settings page. See Email Categories for more details.

Category Order

You can drag and drop categories in the preview to control the order they appear on the preferences page. Grab the drag handle next to a category name and move it to your preferred position. The order saves automatically.

How the Page Works

When a recipient visits the unsubscribe page, they see two options:
  1. Confirm Unsubscribe - A button to fully unsubscribe from all emails.
  2. Category Preferences - Below the confirm button, recipients can see their email category options. This allows them to unsubscribe from specific categories rather than opting out of everything. Only categories that are not hidden from preferences will appear here.
By showing category preferences under the unsubscribe button, recipients are encouraged to manage their preferences rather than fully unsubscribing. For example, someone who no longer wants weekly newsletters might still want to receive event announcements.
Email categories must be set up before they appear on the unsubscribe page. Learn more in Email Categories.
