Why This Happens
Flowforth sends email through Resend. Resend only lets one account use a domain at a time. If another service your church uses also sends through Resend and has already set up your domain, Flowforth can’t add it too. This is common for churches. A website builder, giving platform, church management system, or form tool may send email from your domain behind the scenes. You might not know it uses Resend.Moving Your Domain to Flowforth
If the other service no longer uses your domain, you can move it to Flowforth.1
Start the move
When you see the “already connected” message, click Move yourchurch.org to Flowforth.
2
Confirm you own the domain
The domain page shows one TXT record. Add it where you manage your DNS, then click I’ve added the record. We’ll keep checking until it’s confirmed, which usually takes a few minutes.
3
Finish setting up
Once ownership is confirmed, the page shows the usual DNS records. Add those and click Records added to verify, just like any other domain.
If the Move Is On Hold
Our email provider runs safety checks before moving a domain, and may put the move on hold:- The other account sent email recently. Something is probably still using the domain. Check with whoever manages your other service.
- The other account has scheduled emails. The move can continue once those have sent or been canceled.
- The domain changed hands recently. Try again in a few days.
”This Domain Is Now Connected to Another Email Service”
If a domain you already set up in Flowforth shows this message, it has been set up with another service that uses Resend, so Flowforth can no longer verify it or send from it. To move it back, delete the domain in Settings → Domains and add it again, then follow the steps above. Keep in mind this will stop the other service from sending from it.If the Other Service Still Needs the Domain
If both services need to send email, contact support@flowforth.co. One option is sending from a subdomain likemail.yourchurch.org. Replies to a subdomain only arrive if your emails have a reply-to address set, so we’ll help you get that right.
