# Auto-Join Domains

> Allow people with a matching email domain to automatically join your organization when they sign up for Flowforth.

Auto-Join Domains let you streamline onboarding for your team. Instead of manually inviting every person, you can configure verified email domains so that anyone who signs up with a matching email address is automatically added to your organization as a member.

<Note>Only **organization owners** can configure auto-join domains.</Note>

***

## How It Works

1. You add one or more of your **verified email domains** to the auto-join list.
2. When someone signs up for Flowforth with an email address matching one of those domains (e.g. `jane@yourchurch.org`), they are automatically added to your organization as a **member**.
3. The new member receives the **default permissions** you configured for that domain.

<Note>
  If a user has a **pending invite**, the invite will take priority over
  auto-join. This means any custom role or permissions set on the invite will be
  used instead of the auto-join defaults.
</Note>

## Setting Up Auto-Join

1. Go to **Settings** from the sidebar.
2. Click [Members](https://flowforth.co/settings/members).
3. Scroll down to the **Auto-Join Domains** section.
4. Select a verified domain from the dropdown and click **Add**.

Only domains that have been verified in your [domain settings](/domains/manage-domains) are available for auto-join.

## Default Permissions

Each auto-join domain has configurable default permissions that control what new members can access when they join. By default, new auto-join members receive **email designer** permissions, which means they can view, create, and edit emails but cannot send or schedule them.

You can customize permissions per domain by clicking on the domain row. Available permissions include:

| Permission | Description                                                                                         |
| ---------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Emails | View, create, and edit emails. Choose between **Manager** (can send) or **Designer** (cannot send). |
| People | View and manage people |
| Links | Create and manage link pages |
| QR Codes | Create and manage QR codes |

To learn more about roles and permissions, see [Roles and Permissions](/organization/roles-and-permissions).

<Note>
  Changing default permissions only affects **future** auto-join members.
  Existing members keep their current permissions.
</Note>

## Editing Permissions for a Domain

1. Click on the domain row in the auto-join list.
2. Check or uncheck the permissions you want new members to receive.
3. For email permissions, choose between **Manager** and **Designer**.
4. Click **Save**.

***

## Removing an Auto-Join Domain

1. Click on the domain row in the auto-join list.
2. Click **Remove domain** at the bottom of the dialog.
3. Confirm the removal.

Removing a domain stops new users from auto-joining with that domain. Existing members who previously joined through auto-join are **not affected**.
