# Divider Block

> Add horizontal dividers or invisible spacers to separate sections of your email.

The divider block adds a horizontal line between sections of your email. It can also function as an invisible spacer for adding vertical space.

***

## Adding a Divider Block

Drag the **Divider** block from the block palette into your email canvas.

***

## Sidebar Settings

Select a divider block to configure the following in the sidebar:

### Style

Choose a line style:

* **Solid**: A continuous line
* **Dashed**: A series of dashes
* **Dotted**: A series of dots

### Color

Set the color of the divider line.

### Thickness

Adjust the thickness from 0 to 100 pixels.

<Tip>
  Setting the thickness to **0** turns the divider into a **spacer**. The line becomes invisible, and you can control how much vertical space it adds by adjusting the **padding** in the block's [style settings](/emails/editor/block-styles).
</Tip>

***

## Defaults

You can save your divider configuration as the default for all new dividers in this email:

* **Set as Default**: Saves the current style, color, and thickness as the default
* **Reset to Default**: Reverts the selected divider back to the saved default settings

***

## Tips

* Use dividers sparingly. Too many lines can make an email feel cluttered.
* A 0-thickness divider is a clean way to add spacing without introducing a visible element.
* Match your divider color to your email's overall color scheme for a polished look.
